The City Clerk’s Office strives to provide fast, friendly, and complete service to its customers, including the general public, the City Commission, and City staff. We are the “public information center” for the City, and maintain its official records. Upon request, our staff provides assistance in the retrieval of data and documents related to City government and actions by our City Commission. There is a minimal fee, as established by the Florida Statutes, to cover the costs of copying, and in special cases, for performing research to locate the requested documents. For your convenience, and to help us better serve your needs, Public Information Request forms are available in the City Clerk’s Office. We also provide general information services to residents and visitors.

As Records Custodian, the City Clerk is primarily responsible for maintaining and preserving vital, permanent, historical, and archival records. These documents include minutes, resolutions, ordinances, public notices, municipal elections information, contracts, and deeds. The City Clerk’s Office also handles preparation of City Commission agendas and minutes of City Commission meetings, and advertises ordinances, resolutions, bids, and other required legal notices, as well as issuing of local business tax licenses, and updating the City web site.
